Since opening in March 2005, The Butcher's Hook has gained a reputation for traditional, good value British cooking served with a rustic French twist. This, coupled with stylish and comfortable surroundings, make it one of Fulham’s leading venues for drinking and dining.

The Butcher's Hook prides itself on creating a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. The warm and friendly staff are always happy to offer an expert opinion and recommend their favourite dishes and wines. Drink options include traditional cask ales as well as an innovative wine list, hand-picked by owner Gus Evans.

The pub features daily changing lunch and dinner menus, as well as an all-day blackboard menu, with smaller dishes such as pints of prawns, a Butcher’s Hook charcuterie platter, homemade soup or half a dozen oysters, available at any time.

The Butcher's Hook is also home to a historical moment in sporting history – over 100 years ago, a handshake in this building marked the founding of Chelsea Football Club. The pub, then called The Rising Sun, hosted the first meeting that launched the creation of this leading football team, and has enjoyed a lasting relationship with the club ever since. On 14th March 2005, the Butcher's Hook hosted the team and other key Chelsea figures past and present for the club’s centenary celebrations.

The Butcher’s Hook has been recognised with local and national awards - The Publican voted it as the Wine Pub of the Year for 2008, as well as Best Wine & Food Matching and also the Best Healthy Eating Pub in 2006. Head chef Jacky Lelievre has also acknowledged with the award of Hammersmith & Fulham Chef of the Year in 2006 and 2008.
